TNFSF4 (Tumor Necrosis Factor Superfamily Member 4, OX40L) is a type II transmembrane protein primarily expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, B cells, and macrophages. It binds to its receptor OX40 (CD134) on activated T cells, providing a critical co-stimulatory signal that enhances T cell proliferation, survival, and cytokine production. The TNFSF4¨COX40 interaction plays a central role in adaptive immunity, memory T cell formation, and immune modulation. Dysregulation of TNFSF4 signaling has been implicated in autoimmune diseases, allergic responses, and cancer immunotherapy. As such, TNFSF4 serves as an important therapeutic target and biomarker for immune-related research and drug development.
