IL2Rβ (Interleukin 2 Receptor Subunit Beta, CD122) is an essential signaling component of the IL2 and IL15 receptor complexes. It pairs with IL2Rγ (CD132) to mediate cytokine-induced activation of the JAK1/JAK3–STAT5 signaling pathway, promoting T cell and NK cell proliferation, differentiation, and cytotoxic function. IL2Rβ plays a central role in regulating immune homeostasis and enhancing antitumor and antiviral immunity. Due to its dual involvement in IL2 and IL15 signaling, IL2Rβ serves as an important therapeutic target and biomarker in immuno-oncology, autoimmune disease research, and cell therapy development.
